From sometime in the 1930's through the mid-1970's there was a fine summer resort in what today is Byrnes Mill, Missouri.

Owned and operated by Harry White, who also owned Mercahnt Tire Company at 2710 Washington in St. Louis, Echo Lake Ranch offered guests accomodations in 25 cabins, a lake for swimming and boating, horses for trail riding, square dancing and much more.
