Grant MacLaren's Ancestry One would think a fellow with the name Grant Edward MacLaren might have some Scottish blood. He does, but the MacLarens from whom he is descended lived in Nova Scotia for a few generations after coming from Scotland, and his mother was a Merchant who descended from Roger Williams, who was born in England, circa 1603. (Roger founded Rhode Island, and We have excellent documentation of Grant's ancestry on his mother's side (www.rogerwilliams.org) and Grant's father's eldest brother James Edward emigrated to England where he had easy and ready access to MacLaren clan records. Grant has input most of these family records into Reunion® on his Macintosh. Late in 2015 Grant provided a saliva sample to ancestry.com for DNA evaluation. The results are presented in the charts below.

Early in 2016 Grant's grandson Ziad Kamil also had a saliva sample evaluated by ancestry.com.
