Grant MacLaren's
1981 18' Century Resorter
"Sea Water" supply
and oil extractor

Instructions

With boat in driveway, many miles from lake, place 6 inch white cup over "sea water" intake on bottom of Grant's 18 ft. Century Resorter.

Use spring loaded pole to hold cup in place against boat hull.

Connect garden hose to hose fixture at bottom of cup.

Turn on water to garden hose, until water "pees" from 1/4 inch relief hole near cup's rim. (Relief hole not visible here.)

Start engine.

When temperature reaches 140 or so, stop engine and use pump to extract warm oil from crankcase via dipstick tube. Replace filter with new, and refill crankcase.

11/12/11 -- Mark installed the new fuel pump while boat was on trailer parked in driveway. The "sea water" supply device worked as intended, as can be seen in the following photos.
