The hull has been painted.

"It needs a little work, but what boat doesn't?

(4/16/12) Brought the boat home from the painter today. Now it needs to be re-assembled and put in the water. Bill says to wait a month before waxing. I had thought I'd add a waterline stripe, just for the summer -- then take it off and fix the bottom before painting it green. But, it looks pretty good as is, so maybe I'll ignore the tape.

The forward deck panel is 1/4" marine ply with vinyl cemented to the top surface, without being "wrapped" like the original. Then the panel was shimmed at every hold-down screw, so the stainless frame fit properly:

The tachometer is by Faria. It does "zero out" when 12 volts are applied to the instrument:

A GPS speedometer, similar in appearance to the tach, will replace the pito-tube original. It was custom built by Speedhut.
