It's a "one-off" trailer -- made to fit Grant's 1972 Correct Craft Skier. We delivered the Skier to Trailamster in October and reviewed our design with Chris Kreiger, president of the company that makes 75 trailers per week. Chris was very accommodating, which resulted in a trailer with these features:
  • two 2x6 bunks aligned with the boat's stringers
  • bunks mounted as low as possible, while keeping safe prop clearance
  • trailer's length to fit the boat (and Grant's garage)
  • shortened tongue
  • propeller guard
  • steps behind fenders run the length of the trailer's frame
  • "crash pad" to align bow and boat on trailer photo (photo)
  • vertical "guide-ons"
  • long "guide-on" "fence" rails
  • winch aligned with boat's bow ring
  • surge disk brakes (photo) (photo)
  • LED lights (submersible)
  • Sturdy tongue jack (photo)
  • single axle with 13" wheels
  • axle equipped with EZ Lube hubs
  • three ST175/80R tires
  • spare tire, providing a "step" for entering boat at launch
  • three special "tie down" points for bow and aft section
Grant took delivery of the trailer in Mishawka, IN, and towed it to Ballwin, MO, 11/1/13
