2/1/14: The fuel tank's interior has been cleaned and coated, exterior painted radiator black -- all by West End Radiator, 15605 Manchester Rd. Ellisville, MO. I've removed and shortened that threaded lifting ring rod. (Why was it -- the 3/4 inch fine-threaded rod -- made that long by CC? Also, why was the rod not fully installed into the lifting ring.)

Anyway, it's been fixed now (2/6/14) and will be properly re-installed.

There are two "hook eyes" under the aft deck. We think they are there as "grips" to pull the deck from the mold used to make the boat:

Today I asked (on the CC forum) about the gauge (G) and the light (L) pictured above. The answer(s) were that on early CC models there was a mechanical gauge in the tank, and a viewing window in the deck. The light was connected to the running lights, illuminating the gauge for viewing at night.

For now, I'll remove the light.

"It needed a little work, but what boat doesn't?"
